My general preference is always to redeem airline miles for flights and hotel points for stays because they usually represent the best value. However there are some instances where I make exceptions. One of those is for Hilton Honors Auction, which is Hilton's experiential market place. Hilton Honors Auction gives you VIP access to sold out events, concerts, and exclusive activities that sometimes money cannot buy. Also because Hilton sponsors the event, as a guest, you get unparalleled access.
While I was scrolling through the Hilton Honors Auction page, I notice that there was outright redemption packages for Jay Chou's "THE INVINCIBLE 2 JAY CHOU CONCERT TOUR 2018" tickets at 50,000 Hilton Honors points. Immediately my interest was piqued, because 50,000 Hilton Honors points can be outrightly bought for USD$250 during promotions (which happens very frequently). Considering the package included (2) great tickets that are in the top standard price point available, it represents massive savings.
Immediately I went over to the Sports Hub website to check the price of the tickets and found that the most expensive tickets cost $348 each with a $4 booking fee. This makes 2 tickets cost a whooping SGD$704. Considering one can purchase points for USD$250 ~ SGD$339, one saves $365 immediately. But beyond just the cost, I realise that the concert is SOLD OUT. This makes this deal even more invaluable. A pity I do not like Jay Chou at all.
There are only 6 packages left, so fastest fingers first!!!
